Dave Buhr, CFP®
Born and raised in Rochester Minnesota, Dave moved to Texas to attend Texas Christian University where he graduated with a BBA in Finance. In 1990, he met his wife Cindy, a native Texan, they married in 1993 and set roots in Texas. They were blessed with one daughter, Nicole and today they live in Grapevine where Nicole is a Class of 2019 Grapevine High School student. They are active members of Grapevine First United Methodist Church.
Dave is jokingly referred to as “Mr. Grapevine” due to his extensive community involvement and his unfailing ability to run into someone he knows everywhere he goes. Dave is a long-time member and officer of Grapevine AMBUCS and participates and promotes Grapevine’s Adopt a Road program. Dave was honored with an appointment to the Grapevine Park and Recreation Advisory Board where he has served since 2008, advocating for parks, safe cycling and environmental responsibility. Dave is an avid bicyclist and rabbit breeder.
Stemming from his strong family and community values, Dave strives to build meaningful relationships with his clients. From the beginning of his financial planning career in 1999, Dave has built a practice that allows him to focus on the client’s needs and deliver a customized plan based on mutual trust and understanding. Dave obtained his CFP® designation in 2004, further laying the foundation for his ability to serve his clients in a comprehensive, holistic approach to life planning. With Dave, relationships matter, and no client will ever be just a number or name on paper.
